LEAP 6(Leadership Ecology Adventure Program)LEAP

The Powell River School District is again offering the LEAP 6 Camp. This is an exciting opportunity for Powell River students going into Grade 6 who have demonstrated leadership potential and an interest in natural sciences or environmental stewardship.

LEAP camp is an enriched outdoor educational experience that focuses on wellness activities, place-based connections and the positive changes that can come through individual actions. Throughout LEAP, students will be immersed in beautiful settings with many opportunities to interact with the natural world and each other.

Learning Outcomes Addressed at the LEAP 6 Camp

The first two days of LEAP 6 will be day-camp programming. During the last three days, students will spend two overnights at the Outdoor Learning Center at Haywire Bay.
